About the ArtistEllen Buchert grew up in New Jersey, and has been drawing, painting, and making books her whole life. She is the illustrator of several books including Alluring Lettuces and Other Seductive Vegetables for Your Garden, and The Illustrated Book of Edible Plants, both by author Jack Staub. She is co-author, with Johanna Buchert Smith, and illustrator of the Story Garden, Cultivating Plants to Nurture Memories. Ellen lives in Provo with her daughter, her dog, cat, and 11 chickens.
